Diagnosing Stevens-Johnson syndrome

Stevens-Johnson syndrome should be diagnosed by a dermatologist (skin specialist). A diagnosis is often based on a combination of your:

  • symptoms
  • physical examination
  • medical history (including any medication you've recently taken)
