Zana Joins Inaugural eVoiceNet Vocal Biomarkers Conference in Luxembourg

Vocal biomarkers had their first dedicated European stage this week: the inaugural international conference in Luxembourg, hosted by eVoiceNet – COST Action Network. Zana was proud to take part in an event that brought together researchers, clinicians, and innovators shaping the future of voice-based health.

Our engineer Prashanth Pombala presented the VOICE-BIOME platform, which helps researchers accelerate their vocal biomarkers discovery. VOICE-BIOME provides an end-to-end environment for collecting, processing, and analysing speech data, enabling reproducible, cross-study research and a faster path from raw voice recordings to clinically meaningful insight.

Our CEO Julia Hoxha co-organized the roundtable “The Vocal Biomarkers Path to the European Market: Navigating Challenges, Obstacles, and Opportunities.” It was an open exchange on what it takes to move voice-based biomarkers from the lab into clinical practice, spanning regulation, validation, reimbursement, and real-world deployment.

A big congratulations to our collaborator Loes van Bemmel, awarded Best Presentation for work featuring our TACTICAS study on COPD and asthma patients. 🎉
